Boy (4) drowns in pool at Bluff home

A young boy has drowned in a swimming pool on the Bluff, south of Durban.
Emergency services raced to a property on Chipstead Avenue on Thursday afternoon after receiving calls for help.
"On arrival, paramedics found the lifeless little boy believed to be four years of age and immediately began resuscitating the child," says ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.

"Unfortunately, after a lengthy resuscitation effort the patient showed no signs of life and was declared deceased at the scene.
"At this stage, the events leading up to the drowning are unknown, however, SAPS are in attendance and will be investigating further."
