Boy, 12, dies in Maritzburg taxi crash
A 12-year-old boy has been killed and a 6-year-old girl's been critically hurt in a crash involving a mini-bustaxi and on Dr Chota Motala Road in Pietermaritzburg this morning.
A car collided with the taxi near Church Street.
Netcare911's Shawn Herbst says girl suffered traumatic injuries and was transported to the nearest hospital.
"The kids were occupants of the light motor vehicle when the collision occurred. We believe that one of the children was ejected from the vehicle," Herbst said.
