Boxing SA in KZN says Muhammad Ali was an inspiration

The province’s boxing fraternity is mourning the death of sporting legend Muhammad Ali.

Boxing SA in KZN says Ali was an inspiration and role model for boxers across the country. The former heavyweight world champion died in an American hospital on Friday after battling respiratory problems.
He was 74-years-old. Boxing SA’s Les Andreasen says up and coming boxers can learn a lot from Ali’s legacy.
"He was active. This is something the current boxing fraternity should take from him," he said.
"You must always be in training, because boxing to us is the hardest sport in the world because you are taking punches to the head," Andreasen said.
