Bookings open, Comair flights resume 1 December
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Comair says it's reopened flight bookings for Kulula today for travel from December.
The aviation company which also operates British Airways in South Africa has been going through a voluntary business rescue process since May.
As a result, it grounded the two carriers and suspended trading on the Johannesburg Securities Exchange.
In a statement today - Comair says it's excited to be returning to the skies.
It announced it was going business rescue because the coronavirus pandemic had disrupted its turnaround strategy.
The plan was adopted by the majority of its creditors and shareholders in September.

Comair says the re-introduction of Kulula flights on the domestic network is the first phase of its build-up to full operation in the next few months.
It says it also plans to re-open British Airways domestic and regional flights soon.
Customers who had booked flights before Comair went into business rescue, will be able to use the value of their tickets through Comair Travel Bank for future flights from mid-January onwards.
