Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Alleged unrest instigator Bonginkosi Khanyile will go on trial in August.

The Fees Must Fall activist was arrested in September for allegedly inciting the violence in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng in July last year that saw widespread looting and damage to property.
Over 300 people died in the country.

The court has previously heard from the State that Khanyile was involved because he refused to accept the jailing of former president Jacob Zuma.
KZN National Prosecution Authority spokesperson Natasha Kara says he appeared in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Tuesday for a pretrial conference.
"In court today, both parties assured the court of their readiness to proceed to trial.
