Body of 13-year-old boy recovered from north coast dam

The body of a 13-year-old boy has been pulled from a dam in the St Lucia area on the north coast.

SAPS spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says the boy is believed to have drowned there yesterday.
Police were notified by members of the community.
Zwane says search and rescue officers were called out for the dive operation at a depth of about 5.5 metres.
"On their arrival they noticed it was a 13-year-old boy and he was taken out from the dam. A case of inquest has been opened by Mtubatuba police for investigations," he says.
