Body of man found on Mahatma Gandhi Road

A murder case is being investigated after the body of a man was found on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Durban this morning.

The man had been stabbed.
Spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says officers are trying to establish the events that resulted in his death.
"The body of an unknown man believed to be in his 30s was found with stab wounds to the chest. The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated. A case of murder has been opened for investigation at the Point police station. The suspects are still unknown," Gwala said.
Gwala says the victim has not yet been identified.
