Body of KZN woman found wrapped in plastic bag

Police are investigating a murder after the body of a woman was found in KwaDabeka.
Locals made the discovery earlier today.
Police say the body was found wrapped in a plastic bag.
Spokesperson Thembeka Mbele says the woman was reported missing on Sunday, "The body was found at Sub 5. It's suspected she was killed somewhere else and dumped in the area, for now the motive the killing is unknown."

The DA's West Durban Constituency Chairperson, Mzamo Billy says he's shocked.
He says intervention is needed in the area.
"KwaDabeka police station has had an increase in the number of murder cases over the last few years, and according to the crime stats 2018/19, we have noted that KwaDebeka was among top 30 police stations that recorded the highest number of murder cases.
"This is extremely concerning as it's clear that the rate of people being murdered in the area is growing rapidly."
