The body of a 74-year-old woman who was stabbed several times has been found at Munster Beach near Port Edward.
Police Spokesperson, Thulani Zwane, says the body was found by a person walking on the beach who alerted the police on Friday afternoon.
Zwane says the local police station have launched a manhunt for suspects believed to have been involved in the robbery and stabbing.
"The police were called in and they opened a case of murder. It is suspected that she was robbed before she was stabbed several times, killing her instantly," he said.
"So far no arrests have been made and we are still hunting for the suspects," Zwane said.
