Bodies of missing mom, baby retrieved from Mvoti River
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Search and rescue teams have recovered the bodies of a woman and her child who were swept away while they were trying to cross the Mvoti River, north of Durban.

Various emergency responders including the K9 unit began searching for the pair on Monday.
It's understood that the mother, who was carrying her two-year-old child on her back, got into difficulty in the water on Sunday night.
Medi Response's Paul Herbst says they suspended their search last night and were meant to continue looking for the woman and her toddler on Monday morning.
