Bloody weekend on KZN roads

It has been a bloody weekend on KZN's roads so far with at least four people killed in accidents and scores more hurt.
Yesterday morning, a smash on the N2 - opposite the NPC factory - left one man dead and five others injured -- including a little girl. Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson was at the scene.
"One male passenger in one of the vehicles had gone into a state of cardiac arrest. despite advanced life support paramedics' interventions, he was declared deceased on the scene", he said.
"Five others sustained various injuries, with a little girl - of four-years-old - having sustained critical injuries. She was stabilied on scene before being airlifted to a specialist medical facility," Jamieson said.
A man also died after he was thrown from his car when it rolled on the M7, in Pinetown yesterday. In the afternoon, a man was hit by a truck and killed on Umhlanga Rocks Drive.
On Friday night - in Mpophomeni, near Midmar Dam - another man was killed after crashing his vehicle into a mini-bus taxi, while trying to evade the police.
