Bird flu: Thousands of chickens culled in KZN farm
Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
KZN Agriculture has confirmed that an additional 90 000 chickens, infected with bird flu, have had to be culled on a farm in Dundee.
The department's Khaye Nkwanyane says they are closely monitoring other farms in parts of northern KZN with scientists still conducting tests on the ground.
"We have eliminated all the infected chickens and we are starting from scratch. It's still a positive report, other [KZN farms] remain unaffected," he says.
