Bheki Cele warns KZN community to stop protecting criminals

The police minister has slammed those who protect criminals, especially murderers and rapists.
Bheki Cele held a ministerial imbizo in gang-affected Osizweni in Newcastle yesterday.
It follows a series of alleged gang-related crimes in the area.
He says in many instances, victims are threatened by perpetrators or convinced by their families to drop a case.

Cele says they're working on making it possible to continue investigating cases of rape even those who've opened them decide to drop withdraw them.
"You can't negotiate with rape, there is no such thing."
"I don't know why communities, friends and families support perpetrators, instead of supporting victims. Don't support criminals here."
