Bester escape: New accused to remain in custody

The case against three G4S employees, alleged to be linked with Thabo Bester prison escape, has been postponed to next week.
The group made their first appearance in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
They were arrested at their homes this week.

The latest arrests bring the number to 12 people linked to the maximum security prison break, which took place in May last year.
Magistrate Moholo Khabisi said the suspects will remain in custody.

"By an agreement by the State and the defence the case is hereby remanded until the 3rd of July 2023 for bail information."
