Bali volcano: Durban holidaymakers waiting for further travel info

A Durban woman who is on holiday in Bali says they are waiting for further travel updates from authorities there after a volcanic eruption shut the Indonesian island's international airport.

Officials at Ngurah Rai Airport say nearly 280 flights in and out of Bali have bee cancelled, affecting nearly 16,000 passengers.

Nicola Martins is staying about 80km away from Mount Agung.

She's told Newswatch it is a waiting game for many.
