Bail for pastor accused of sexual assault sparks backlash
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
A children's group has expressed disappointment at the decision to grant bail to a pastor suspected of sexually assaulting minors in Richards bay.

The man is accused of assaulting teens between the ages of 13 and 15.
He was released on bail of R3 000 at the local court this week.
Childline KZN's Adeshni Naicker says the decision is deeply concerning.
" Allegations of sexual abuse, especially those involving a trusted community leader must be treated with the utmost seriousness."

"Granting bails sends out a troubling message to victims and can put other children at risk. Childline KZN stands with survivors and calls for swift justice. We urge anyone affected to reach out to helpline on 116."
Every child deserves to feel safe, especially in places of trust.
