#DurbanBaby 'hijacking' case back in court
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The case of the #DurbanBaby taken during a staged hijacking in the city earlier this year returns to court today.
The National Prosecuting Authority says the mother and the little girl's biological father will line up in the Durban Magistrate's Court.
The case caught local and international headlines when the then 1-month-old baby was reportedly taken during a hijacking in Durban's Greyville area on March 10.
A massive city-wide search was launched for the baby. It then emerged that the baby's mother was among those arrested two days after the incident.

It became apparent that a love affair was at the heart of the staged hijacking.
It was established that the mother's husband is not the father of the baby. The mother and her boyfriend face charges of fraud and defeating the ends of justice.
