Baby seriously injured in Queensburgh house fire dies

The 17-month-old baby boy who suffered severe burns in a house fire over a week ago in Queensburgh has died in hospital from his injuries.

The boy and his mother sustained serious injuries after their flat on Burma Road caught fire.
Firefighters rescued the toddler after his mother fell from a bathroom window while trying to get him out.

Rescue Care's, Garrith Jamieson says the boy passed away last night.
"At the actual incident, the child had sustained severe burns. Advance life support paramedics worked to stabilise the young boy on scene before being rushing him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the child passed away early last night. Rescue Care paramedics send their condolences to the family," he says.
