Updated | By Portia Cele
A new-born baby is in a stable condition in hospital after she was found on the door-step to a Pietermaritzburg home this morning.
Emergency services who were called to the scene say the baby was found at a home in Panarama Gardens.
ER24 says medics who immediately assessed the girl found she had suffered mild hypothermia.
Reports say the infant was wrapped in a blanket and that the baby was only a few hours old.
She's in a stable condition, paramedics say, and is receiving further treatment in hospital.
Police are investigating the incident.
