Baby drowns in residential pool in Gillitts

A 14-month-old baby has drowned in a swimming pool in Gillitts - despite efforts from paramedics to save the child's life.
Reports from the scene indicate the little girl had fallen into the pool at her home, late yesterday afternoon.
She was found lying in the water by a family member - who pulled her out and immediately started administering CPR.

Netcare 911's Chris Botha says medics were called to the Russell Ridge Road home just after 5:30pm.
