Baby airlifted to hospital after being hit by car
An 18-month-old toddler has been airlifted to a hospital in Cato Ridge after being run over by a car in the driveway.
It's understood the vehicle reversed into the child at a house in KwaXimba.
ER24's Chitra Bodasing says when paramedics arrived, the baby had already been rushed to a local clinic and was in a critical condition.
"Paramedics found nurses attending to the baby upon assessment it was found that the child sustained servere injuries. Paramedics treated the child and called for a helicopter," she said.
Bodasing says the details leading up to the incident are unknown, and police are investigating.
