Updated | By Bulletin
The suspended chief executive officer of Tembisa Hospital has passed away.

It's understood Dr Ashley Mthunzi died in hospital on Tuesday after a short illness.
Mthunzi was placed on precautionary suspension amid allegations of a possible link to the murder of Gauteng health department financial accountant and whistleblower Babita Deokaran.
Deokaran, who hailed from Durban, was gunned down in August 2021 shortly after dropping her daughter off at school.
She had been helping authorities with an investigation into a PPE tender scandal.
The Gauteng Health Department's Motalatale Modiba has conveyed condolences.
"The department has learned with sadness about the untimely passing of Dr. Ashley Mthunzi, as announced by his family.
"The department extends the deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues as they navigate through the difficult period of mourning."
