Attempted murder probe after couple shot in New Germany
Police in Pinetown are investigating two cases of attempted murder - after a man and his wife were shot and wounded in New Germany.
The videographers had arrived at the home of a client, to film wedding celebrations, in Berkshire Downs - when they were approached by three suspects.
The police's Thulani Zwane says after opening fire on the couple, the suspects drove away - empty handed.
"They were sitting in their vehicle when they were approached by three suspects. It is alleged that the suspects tried to take their vehicle and then shot at them," Zwane said.
The man - who appears to be in his 50s - was shot in the arm. His wife who suffered serious injuries to her abdomen was airlifted to hospital.
