Assets Forfeiture Unit descends on Mabuyakhulu, co-accused
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The NPA's Assets Forfeiture Unit has swooped on properties belonging to Mike Mabuyakhulu, the ANC's deputy chairperson in KwaZulu-Natal, as well as several co-accused as part of an ongoing corruption probe.

Members of the Hawks have also been busy this morning across Durban, attaching and seizing the homes and luxury vehicles of the province's former Economic Development MEC and his co-accused.
The Hawk's Simphiwe Mhlongo says they are carrying out a court order.
Mabuyakhulu and the group were arrested last year on multiple fraud charges that relate to a music festival that never went ahead in 2012.
Business people, their companies and politicians ended up pocketing millions that the KZN government had pumped into the event.
