Arson, murder probe into fatal PMB house fire
KZN police are investigating a case of arson and murder following a house fire inThis local business owner says he empathizes with the locals.. in the early hours of this morning.
Five family members, including two children, were killed when their two-storey home on Larch Road in Willowton went up in flames.
Emergency services say they found their bodies lying on the veranda when they arrived at the home.
They were all declared dead at the scene. SAPS spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says no arrests have been made.
"Five people who were inside of the house died as a result of smoke inhalation. A case of murder has been opened for further investigation. The motive for setting the house alight is not known at this stage. The matter is still under investigation," Zwane said.
