Arrests after mutilated body found in KZN

Thandazile Mpunzi was reported missing by her family earlier this month.

The police's Thulani Zwane says the suspects, aged between 18 and 20 upon being questioned by the police, took them to the grave where her body was.

''The members of the community tried to search for the woman but could not find her. Yesterday, the members of the police received information about the three suspects who were allegedly involved in the killing of this woman.

''She was found in a shallow grave in pieces and it is suspected that she was strangled before being buried in a shallow grave,'' he said.

The motive for the attack is still unknown. 

The men will appear in the Manguzi Magistrate's court soon, facing charges of murder.
