KwaZulu-Natal police are asking people to come forward with
any information on the whereabouts of a man linked to a double murder in
Pinetown.

Linda Hlongwa is accused of shooting and killing his 22-year-old girlfriend and her 52-year-old mother at their home in March).
Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says Hlongwa, also known as ‘Mjinja’ or ‘Putin’, had been wanted since September 2024 when a court issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with several extortion cases.
It’s alleged he had terrorised business owners in Mariannhill and surrounding areas.

“Hlongwa was released from custody pending ballistic results. Since then, he has ignored summons to appear in court to face his charges.
