Anti-Racism Network urges South Africans to stand together
The Anti-Racism Network of SA says it's more than two decades since Apartheid ended but there are still deep divisions in South African society.
The network, representing more than 80 national organisations, is behind Anti-Racism Week which begins today.
The campaign aims to tackle racism head on, encouraging South Africans to speak out against it and take action to stop racial discrimination.
Sean Moodley's the national convener of ARNSA, says South Africa belongs to everyone.
"South Africa belongs to all, both black and white, because I think it's the best country in the world.
"We have a wonderful country called South Africa. We are going to make sure we protect it and the way to protect it is to come together, stand up and take racism on," he said.
Anti-racism is supported by the Ahmed Kathrada and Nelson Mandela foundations.
