Another KZN councillor shot and killed
Updated | By Nothando Mkhize
The police's National Task Team on Political Killings have launched a manhunt for suspects behind the killing of an NFP councillor.

Ntombenhle Mchunu was assassinated in the early hours of Sunday while sleeping at her home in Nongoma, in northern KZN.
The police's Athlenda Mathe said the 75-year-old councillor was declared dead at the scene.
"The 75-year-old councillor was declared dead at the scene while a minor child that was in the residence survived the incident. The minor is in a critical condition in hospital.”
A case of murder and attempted murder is being investigated.
Her death comes after another female NFP councillor, Nonhlanhla Zungu, was also shot.
"We want the perpetrators of these senseless attacks to be arrested. We want the mastermind to be arrested because we do not believe individuals would just gang up against councillors without being paid to do so," said the NFP's Canaan Mdletshe in a statement.
