Another hefty hike in the fuel price in July

South Africans will be digging deeper into our pockets to pay for fuel.
The Energy Department says the price of petrol will go up by R2.37 (93) and R2.57 (95) a litre on Wednesday.
Diesel will cost R2.31.
The price of illuminating paraffin goes up by R1.66.

"The main reason for this adjustment are as follows: The higher oil prices led to higher prices of petroleum products during the period under review," says department spokesperson Robert Maake.
"The temporary relief had been reduced from R1.50c to R0.75c per litre on the fuel levies. The rand strengthened against the US dollar and cushioned the prices by around 20 cents per litre. Low demands for LP gas, NUS and in Europe led to a decrease of R2.18 per kilogram.”
