A Durban toddler has been electrocuted, apparently by wires from an illegal electricity connection at an informal settlement in Kenville.

KZN Emergency Medical Services' Robert McKenzie says the two-year-old boy had already died by the time paramedics arrived on the scene earlier this afternoon.
"Paramedics responded to the scene after the grandmother had found the child lying lifeless next to their house," he said.
No further details are available at this stage on the circumstances that led to the incident.
McKenzie has warned against illegal connections.
"As EMS, we'd like to urge community members to please not connect wires illegally as we're responding to many such tragic cases," he added.
It's the second tragedy in Durban this week involving a toddler.
On Monday, two-year-old Ritesh Ramlall died when his family's Clare Estate home was ravaged by a fire that started in the morning.
