The trial of her four alleged abductors is currently being heard in the Durban High Court.

She was kept chained at a house in Mpumalanga province for six months before she was rescued.

Munsamy gave emotional testimony via audio-visual link inside the courthouse on Tuesday, describing her abduction and the months of captivity after.

She told the court about the promises her abductors made to her in the first few days, telling her that she would return home as her family had given them what they wanted but then changing their tune some time later.

She was then bundled into the boot of a car a second time and transported to a home in Emalahleni which she described as extremely traumatic.

Munsamy said she was kept chained to a wall and watched over by two of her abductors whom she called Gabrielle and Michael.

She said she then spoke to a third abductor who

was called the boss who said he knew her and about her family's wealth.

He then demanded 10 million dollars and told Munsamy if it was not paid, they would hold her for up to a year.

She said he even threatened to move her across the border before the line was cut. Munsamy says she was devastated by the request as she knew the family did not have the money.

She then spoke to her brother Inderan and asked how her children were before relaying her abductor's demands to him.

Munsamy became more uneasy, as her brother was shocked and taken aback by the amount of money being demanded.

She broke down, saying she spent the next few days worrying about whether she would ever see her children again.
