KZN police are appealing to members of the public to assist in finding two-year-old Zinhle Mkhize.
According to SAPS, the toddler was last seen on Friday playing outside her home in C - Section.
The police's Thulani Zwane, says she had been in the care of her father at the time as her mother had been sitting for a matric exam.
"Someone is suspected to have taken this child and took her away. A case of kidnapping was opened at the KwaMashu police station for further investigation and up to now there has been no arrest made," he said.
Last month, a boy from Soweto was kidnapped from his home.
He was found a few days later in Newcastle. His nanny and two other people, including a sangoma, have been arrested.
