Andile 'Bobo' Mbuthu murder case postponed due to illness
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The cross-examination of an accused-turned-state witness in the Andile Mbuthu murder case didn't go ahead as planned on Wednesday.

Defence advocate Chris Gounden told the Verulam Magistrate's Court that he was feeling unwell.
Sixteen-year-old Andile, also known as Bobo, was beaten to death two years ago in Tongaat.
He'd been accused of stealing liquor from a tavern during the Covid lockdown.
The teen's body was found several weeks later dumped in a local river.
Initially, there were seven accused of Bobo's gruesome death.

Tavern owner Mlungisi Thabethe, who allegedly ordered the attack, died last year when he was ambushed while driving his car in the Tongaat area.
Speaking to journalists outside court, Gounden said although he was pleased with the pace at which the case was moving, he's concerned about aspects of the state witness's testimony.
Meanwhile, Bobo's relatives who were at court today, expressed dissatisfaction about the latest postponement, saying they feel the matter should be moving at a faster pace.
The case will be back in court on 3 October.
