ANCWL in KZN want justice for girl killed by ex-boyfriend
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The ANC Women's League in KZN has called on the courts to deny bail for a young man accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend to death at a school in Ndwedwe, north Durban.

Police say 18-year-old Phindile Gcwensa's classmates witnessed the attack on the pupil on Thursday.
The league's Mbali Frazer believes Gcwensa's death could've been avoided if the 21-year-old suspect hadn't been granted bail in a separate case.
It's understood the schoolgirl had opened a case of rape against him.

"What is more of a challenge to us is the fact that she went to the police station and told them that after bail, he came back and raped and beat her, but when she went to the police station to report that this had happened, the police did not go and look for this man.
"Unfortunately, justice is failing us."
Frazer says they'll be in court when the suspect presents himself again on Monday.
