of KZN's newly elected ANC leadership say their visit to Nkandla this past
weekend was made in the hopes of rebuilding the province.

Provincial chairperson Siboniso Duma says it was a trip to seek guidance and wisdom from former president Jacob Zuma.
He says they plan on paying former party leaders courtesy visits as well, to seek advice on uniting the organisation.
Duma says the new leadership feels it's important to consult those who contributed to the building of KZN.
He says the province's economic wealth and the land issue were some of the issues they discussed with Zuma.

“We've spoken amongst other things, the issue of building the nation. Indeed, Msholozi is always in a jovial mood."
But political analyst Protas Madlala warns factionalism in the ANC remains a sticking point.
"One of the critical things that is facing the ANC is that it's got factions and it's losing its support and in the year 2024 there's a big question mark if they going to be able to win back KZN."
