ANC says party speeding up land reform process
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The ANC says it is speeding up the process of rolling out outstanding land claims in the country.
The party unpacked three priorities put forward in its election manifesto during a media briefing yesterday.
The organisation says the aim is to reduce the high cost of living and strengthen comprehensive social security.
Last month, Agriculture , Land Reform and Rural Development Minister Thoko Didiza indicated that government has successfully settled about 94 percent of claims between 1995 and 2023.
The party's Zweli Mkhize says they have heard about green energy opportunities and received input from the cannabis industry.

“These are some of the areas that we are looking at how to actually help to broaden the base of our economy but also to increase economic growth. There will be a bit more discussion at that level. We have raised the issue of accelerating land redistribution, which is very important as a basic asset that we need for people to actually begin to create their own assets.”
