ANC members to visit late councillor, Sifiso Mlambo's family
Members of the ANC in the Musa Dladla Region on the north coast are set to visit the family of slain councillor, Sifiso Mlambo today.
Mlambo was gunned down in Empembeni - near Richards Bay on Wednesday night.
The party says this is the first time such an attack has occurred there. Regional spokesperson, Tholi Gwala says they're hopeful their visit will shed more light on what happened.
"The family is devastated. I don't know what to say at the moment. So we plan to go back so that we get all the information of what happened," he says.
Gwala says they want police to track down those responsible for the murder as soon as possible. Mlambo had been making a delivery near his home when he was attacked.
