ANC in KZN to take internal route in resolving alliance disputes
Updated | By Zongile Nhlapho
The ANC in KZN says it can't afford public spats with alliance partners.
The party says it has a responsibility to protect the image and integrity of the alliance.
The ANC made the resolution at a three-day lekgotla that concluded earlier this week. It's been at loggerheads with the SACP recently with the communist party in the province accusing the ANC Youth League of displaying an anti-communist attitude.
The ANC has accused the SACP of meddling in party politics.
ANC spokesperson Mdumiseni Ntuli says there are internal measures in place to deal with any conflict.
"We took a view that we will engage the communist party internally within the alliance because we have an internal platform where we can say whatever we want to say to each other and say it in a language we want to use so that we can speak about whatever problems we have," he said.
