Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The ANC in KZN is calling for calm among its members following the murder of Youth League leader Dumisani Moyo this week.
Moyo - an ANCYL leader from the eThekwini region - was gunned down outside his home in eNtshongweni on Tuesday night. Provincial secretary Mdumiseni Ntuli says members of the party must remain focused on the elections and allow the police to conduct investigations.
He says the murder must not be a distraction that causes commotion within the party.
"We are understand there are challenges and some of these challenges are occasioned by a threat to life", he said.
"As the ANC and our members however we are determined that no one will be successful in overthrowing the democratic dispensation in this country", Ntuli said.
Police have not made any arrests.
