ANC KZN asks cops to intervene in 'Free Zuma' motorcade
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal has asked the police to intervene after #FreeJacobZuma posters began doing the rounds on social media.
The posters indicate that a motorcade will head to its provincial office on Thursday.
A protest calling attention to the lives lost in Phoenix is also apparently going to take place on Friday.
"We don't know who issued it. We don't know what is the objective of that motorcade to the provincial office. We don't even know who is organising that thing. We have alerted the police to deal with the matter," says the ANC's Nhlakanipho Ntombela.

It's not clear what time these events are scheduled to take place.
Ntombela says the protests weren't organised by the provincial structure.
"There is no official ANC record either issued by the ANC provincial office nor the regional office. This was issued by an anonymous source and those are the things for the police.
"Part of the challenge we have observed is that the police have not been doing their work as expected. We hope that after last week's experience, they would plan and act accordingly on these instances."
