ANC in KZN sets date for provincial conference

The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal will hold its provincial conference from the 15th to the 17th of July.

The dates were announced by party provincial secretary Mdumiseni Ntuli on Tuesday.

"The PEC prides itself for having successfully convened all 11 regional conferences which elected regional executive committees and at least having built more than 800 ANC branch executive committees,” Ntuli said.

The leadership has dismissed claims the party in KZN is divided after chairperson Sihle Zikalala was booed at an event in Nkandla recently.

Ntuli says for some people in the party, it's an expression of happiness.

"There are people who attended the church service who had certain views of the provincial chairperson of ANC and decided to express whatever grievances or concerns they have about him or about all of us as the leadership of the ANC through the booing that we all saw in the media and on social media.

"But our view as the provincial executive of the ANC is that those things do happen."
