ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday said
the party will hit its electioneering stride once the date for the polls has
been announced.
He said the ANC is only warming up its campaign.
Ramaphosa addressed hundreds of party members at the Dr John Langlibalele Dube Stadium in Inanda on Monday.
The party is rallying support ahead of its manifesto launch at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this weekend.

"The campaign we are entering will be a warm one. We need to take it seriously because all the other political parties are going around saying bad things about the ANC," Ramaphosa said.
"We want to show them that we will win the upcoming elections, whether they like it or not."
