The Constitutional Court this morning found that President Jacob Zuma violated his constitutional duties by failing to implement the findings of the Public Protector that he pay back a portion of the money spent on non-security features at his private home in Nkandla. ANC Spokesperson Zizi Kodwa says the party welcoes the ruling.

"The ANC has noted the judgement delivered today by the Concourt in relation to the nature of the binding nature of the powers of the Public Protector.

"The ANC in this regard welcomes the ruling of the highest court in the land and final arbiter on matters before it and it has clarified a number of issues. Our confidence in the judiciary is unshaken," he said.
