ANC expected to address Brian Molefe rumours
Updated | By Samkelo Maseko
The ANC is set to brief the media on their three day National Executive Committee (NEC) lekgotla.
Ahead of the meeting, ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe said the lekgotla would focus on radical economic transformation and land redistribution, but questions around the so-called war room and Brian Molefe's possible return the Parliament is set to dominate the briefing.
Media attention was directed away from the lekgotla to the controversial media war room implicating ANC General Manager Ignatius Jacobs and businesswomen Sihle Bolani - who is suing the party for R2.2 million.
Sunday newspapers reported that former Eskom Group CEO Brian Molefe is headed to parliament as ANC MP over the weekend.
Molefe's possible move is seen as a precursor to a cabinet reshuffle, which could see Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan out in the cold.
