ANC to deploy task team to KZN universities following unrest
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile

The party has been reacting to recent violent protests at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and University of Zululand that have seen vehicles and other assets set alight.
On Monday, students embarked on a series of protests at three of UKZN's campuses yesterday.
The ANC says arson is a criminal act and perpetrators must be brought to book.

The ANC's Mdumiseni Ntuli says the leadership of the party will put together a task team.
"The team will be engaging with various stakeholders on the campuses to ensure that we restore stability, ensure that there is calm and stability and that learning [goes on]," he said.
UKZN and Unizulu have both suspended classes.
22 students were arrested yesterday at UKZN's Westville campus while 13 students from Howard College are facing charges related to contravening a court order and public violence.
