ANC councillor accused of corruption by Doringkop residents
Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
The ANC says it is investigating allegations of corruption against a north coast ward councillor, following mass protests by residents in Doringkop this week.
Angry community members took to the streets setting tyres and a truck alight.
They have accused Ward-1 Councillor, Dumisani Ndimande of corrupt dealings under the local housing project.
Thabane Mdlalose is the ANC's regional secretary in Kwadukuza.
"There were issues structured in the ANC, we are dealing with the matter," he said.
Meanwhile Councillor Ndimande has told Newswatch he will respond to the allegations through the appropriate channels.
"We can respond in the right platform because there are allegations leveled against me, when I get the right platform I will do that," he said.
