ANC to comply with court order on cadre deployments
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
The governing African National Congress (ANC) has confirmed that it will comply with the Constitutional Court order to deliver documents pertaining to its cadre deployment to the opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) on time.

The ANC lost its Constitutional Court bid to appeal an earlier ruling ordering it to hand over all its records and documents relating to cadre deployment.
The ANC was last week given five working days - with the deadline end of business today - to hand over the full records dating back to 1 January 2013.

The DA filed legal papers against the ANC last year to have the governing party’s cadre deployment policy declared unconstitutional and unlawful.
In its arguments, the DA said it believes the ANC’s policy to reward loyal members has come at the cost of service delivery for the rest of South Africa.
Speaking to Jacaranda FM news, ANC spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu- Motsiri confirmed on Sunday that the party will comply.
"The ANC will comply with the court order", said Bhengu Motsiri.
