ANC members campaigning for other parties ‘will immediately lose membership’
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The ANC in KZN says several members who've been participating in the activities of other political parties have been suspended.

However, the provincial leaders would not be drawn on whether former ANC president Jacob Zuma would face the same fate.
In December, Zuma helped launch the uMkhonto we Sizwe party and said he would be campaigning for it ahead of the elections.
But he said he remained a member of the ANC.
At a press conference on Thursday, the KZN ANC said three councillors would soon be given official letters of their suspension.
Provincial secretary Bheki Mtolo said their actions are aimed at weakening and dividing the party.

"All ANC public representatives who are participating in activities of other political formations, their membership is suspended with immediate effect and will be brought before the ANC provincial disciplinary committee."
"Members of the ANC who associate themselves and participate actively in activities in other political parties, that contest elections against the African National Congress are presumed as having left the ANC and voluntarily terminated their membership and will be removed from the membership register of our members."
