AMT resubmits motion of no confidence against Ramaphosa

The African Transformation Movement (ATM) has resubmitted a motion of no confidence against President Cyril Ramaphosa.

This follows a ruling by the Supreme Court of Appeal last week, which set aside a decision by the previous speaker who rejected a request for a secret ballot in the motion.
ATM spokesperson Sbusiso Mncube says they believe Ramaphosa is grossly incompetent.
"Since we have been processing this motion from last year, nothing has changed in the leadership of the current president of the country.
"We still see more load shedding, the collapse of state-owned enterprises, high unemployment rate and even how Covid has been handled. The corruption in the PPEs.
"There is a variety of issues that we feel are motivating to take this matter forward. To our understanding, we've got sufficient reasons that Ramaphosa can't be the president of the country anymore."
